smkummer
I have a 1928A1 Savage. Its borderline for me to prefer a M1 or M1A1 Thompson. The first time you take apart a 1928 to clean you will know why Savage said that they could make this gun much easier to make was a valid point. Less is more. The1930sRust
I have a Savage M1, and perhaps the rarest Thompson of them all: A 1986 .22 conversion to .45 West Hurley.

Z3BigDaddy
I'm in flux... Sold the 21 and am waiting on a 28A1. So the one in the safe doesn't belong to me and the one that does belong to me is in someone else's safe.

Dolphinvet
Colt 1921AC, and an AOC M1. Currently making a deal on a 1928. I feel for those who had a Thompson and now don't. I told my wife she's not allowed to even think about me selling my 21AC until I obtain room temperature.
colt21a
D.V. at this stage I don't worry about it anymore. and hopefully you won't be room temp for awhile to enjoy the new Colt. Enjoy every day. Everyday! RON Colt21a
timkel
I have owned a 1928 model since 1980. I don't really have a favorite. I would be just as happy to own any model. Its all about the history. Edited January 19, 2014 by timkel

AlanDavid
Only got one a Savage 1928 , vertical fore grip, British ordnance marked. Came with its chest often (incorrectly) referred to as the "Home Guard" chest complete with 5 20 round mags and 3 50 round mags, also the cleaning rod. Had to buy an oil bottle separately - life is tough sometimes! Regards AlanDSydney
Digger
AlanDavid, You actually have a FA Thompson and high capacity mags in Australia and it's all legal?
AlanDavid
Full auto stuff can be owned here in Australia although there are a few hoops to jump through. My gun along with the rest of my collection is with a dealer in New Zealand where I purchased it. NZ is much more user friendly to full auto, although shooting it (other than theatrical) is a no no. Regards Alan Gee.....I guess me and my buds would produce a lot of cheesey movies , then. All taking place on a firing range during a major machinegun match. 99.9 % of the budget would go toward ammo expense in the making of said movie , which would be a flop , and allow a major tax write off .Chris

RangerRed
That's an impressive collection. Your Swedish Ks remind me of the Egyptian one I carried in my humvee in Iraq. That was always a fun little gun to shoot when we had spare 9mm. As for TSMGs, I have a Bridgeport 28AC.
