Most are in a series or event, especially interesting to me was the Crown Point photo- I had never seen that pose before. Here's some more- Mr. D sure is relaxed for a murder trial. OCM
This was actually a break in the trial, everyone relaxed and had a cigarette- Guy with the grey hair is his lawyer. Won't go into all here, but Dillinger is wearing the clothes he had on when arrested in Tucson. This open vest look, in 1934, became a bit of a cult thing for young college students.Today : " Dillinger is a cool Dude "What really happened, the gang refused to wear prison cloths, as it was degrading to a famous gang.Hope someone laundered the suit by the time he left in March. Photo is the Tucson arrest, same suit on...

OCM
Rob-I think we've brought this up before, the Thompsons in the photo you sent on your post, would be # 6315 and # 4141, both 21 ACs. One ( 6315) from Dunnegan Ryan Co in El Paso, TX, other( 6141) from Shelton Payne Arms El Paso, TX. We believe # 6141 was bought by HS Lebman, March 34.Both Baby Face Nelson guns, PROBABLY both acquired for Nelson by Lebman, just about a month prior to the Little Bo shoot-out, April 23. Nelson definitely kept his Colt mini submachine pistol- Not good. Photo appears to be taken in the garage there at the Little Bohemia Lodge. Correct April 1934 calendar too..... That's not a L drum on the wall, an automotive brake drum.
Gio
OCM When the gang left on foot from the Little Bohemia Lodge did they not bring their weapons with them. I would think they would be close by when the left and not leave them behind. Frank
OCM
Frank-I can't positively answer that. The gang was staying in the main lodge, Nelson had his own cabin ( probably cause most couldn't stand the guy ) and the large multi car garage was off to the right housing the cars, so they wouldn't be spotted. In the series that Rob sent, there are a couple photos of the garage. We know Dillinger took Thompson # 7387 as he had it still with him when killed in July, this was one of the Crown Point Thompsons still with him.The pictures shows some of the guns in the garage, where they must of been stored with the cars, or at least some of the weapons. When the shooting started, the outlaws took off into the woods, Pronto ! To reach the guns would of been like running across a parking lot in the middle of a battle. Garage was probably locked etc. The FBI were outside firing into the lodge in full force. Nelson had a Colt 45 mini machine pistol on him when he fled, possibly two as another was found later on in his hideout. BTW, no BARs in the Dillinger escape as in Public Enemies- There was no confrontation. Stole a model A and off they went-
