Grease Gunner
Fellow Collectors, I dont know if this is cool or Blasphemy. A gunbroker seller had it with a M1a1 as an extra lower soI just had to purchase it , not the M1a1 ,just the llower . Lower is numbered. Suprisingly, the stock is solid. I hate the AR-15 pistol grip.. Edited July 20, 2019 by Grease Gunner

BillyDixon
are you sure its an mp-40 stock ? looks like something after market, just sayn
First Sergeant
Definitely NOT an MP40 stock.
DINK
It looks like an aftermarket stock for the M1 carbine from the 80s. FedOrd maybe? I'll give points for creativity, but that's a Thompson only John Thompson's mother could love.
Vettom
Well thats out of the box thinking for sure and dont think I will do that with any of mine.... would be a good one to put in a small carry bag though on the positive note. Kinda fugly like a junk yard dog.
Petroleum 1
Points for craftsmanship it looks well made. Special forces mod im sure How does it handle at the range?
Kilroy
Does a magazine go in it if the stock is folded up? Can the stock come down if a magazine is in it? Neat concept I think, but I’d never do it to my piece.
Grease Gunner
Seller sold it to me for $500. Its a M1A1 numbered lower in the 500,000 range. I can throw away the stock and sell the lowereasily for that when I tire of it.MP40 style is morew accurate

full auto 45
The metal is a folding stock from an AK47. The wood is most likely a M1 stock cut. It looks like the folder is through the reinforcing screw hole. Someone took good time in woodworking and finishing. The AR grip sucks. Ivan
Look again. That is not stock from AK. It is a Fed Ord folder from M1 Carbine stock or a Ruger 10/22 folding stock. Had a Universal carbine 25 years ago with such a stock. Actually not too bad for an aftermarket folder. The Universal carbine was, of course, a piece of junk. The maker was fairly clever but it sure does not look right on a Tommy Gun.......

Big Al
The stock was hacked off a Universal Firearms Paratrooper M1 Carbine stock. http://www.m1carbinesinc.com/carbine_universal4.html Edit: well...either an M1 Carbine stock or a Mini14 stock. Federal Ordnance made that style of stock for each gun. Edited July 25, 2019 by Big Al
