TSMGguy
It does look suspiciously like one I purchased on eBay recently that wasn't aged. This one might be original. Don't know, I'd have to smell it. Seriously. That slightly musty, old leather smell cannot be duplicated. The trouble is that a repro will smell just like that in another 50 years! I'd also expect to see more cracking in the leather. Looks like one side of the leather is aged, but the rough side is not. German units had the ability to make and repair tack, so these were unit made. There were several different original versions, some with buckles, some without, in black as well as brown. I don't pay much for items that have been widely reproduced. FWIW. Edited October 19, 2019 by TSMGguy
Haenelistklasse
I don't know but it still looks cool so I put a bid on it. My gut is that it might be an old reproduction. However, I do like the "ageing" of it.
johnsonlmg41
The photo showing it stiff as a board and the color, I would call it repro. When leather is stiff like a $3 mexican belt at the fair......it likely is.
