Interesting information about the early Thompson Auto Rifles (it was semi-auto). As far as I know, the prototypes 1916-1918 have not been preserved anywhere. I have a small selection of Colt-Thompson Auto Rifles. It was tested for the USA Battle Rifle in the 1920s. If someone corrects or supplements, I will be glad of this. Or tell a book about more information about TAR.
