dalbert
gabrielfrombelgium, These parts diagrams are for an M1 Thompson, but there will be very few differences between this weapon and the M1A1. I think these might be what you are looking for. They are from TM 9-215 dated October 10, 1942. http://www.sturmgewehr.com/dalbert/Thompson_Pictures/TM_9-215-5_Inside1.jpg http://www.sturmgewehr.com/dalbert/Thompson_Pictures/TM_9-215-5_Inside2.jpg http://www.sturmgewehr.com/dalbert/Thompson_Pictures/TM_9-215-5_Inside3.jpg http://www.sturmgewehr.com/dalbert/Thompson_Pictures/TM_9-215-5_Inside4.jpg http://www.sturmgewehr.com/dalbert/Thompson_Pictures/TM_9-215-5_Inside5.jpg http://www.sturmgewehr.com/dalbert/Thompson_Pictures/TM_9-215-5_Inside6.jpg If you're looking for something other than these particular diagrams, let me know. I might have the information you are looking for. David Albert dalbert@sturmgewehr.com
gabrielfrombelgium
Thanks dalbert I am looking for the drawing number, ie the blueprint # of each parts of the Thompson. I guess the numbers are engraved on the parts in the same way it is on an items such as an M1 Garand receiver.
gijive
The military drawing numbers are not stamped on the various internal parts of the Thompson as they are on other U.S. Military weapons. There are WWII era Shop Repair manuals that should give you the numbers you are seeking.
